Pooja Kundargi PA-C

Pooja Kundargi, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Coastal Ortho with offices in El Segundo and Torrance, California.

She grew up in Northern California, playing various sports, including soccer, field hockey, and volleyball. This naturally progressed into her studying exercise and sports science. 

Pooja completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, and a master's degree in physician assistant studies in Massachusetts. She felt motivated to stay in the sports science world by completing an elective rotation in orthopedic surgery and has fostered her interest in this specialty since.

Pooja continues to pursue her interest in clinical research by publishing papers with physician assistants and doctors, striving to practice evidence-based medicine and provide the highest quality care for her patients. Her work and dedication during PA school earned her a Rosh Scholarship, given to students who are self-motivated to continue their learning beyond the classroom.

Pooja enjoys staying active by hiking in Los Angeles, playing basketball with friends, and practicing yoga and pilates in her free time. An avid baker and cook, Pooja experiments with different cuisines she learns about from her patients.

Pooja places the utmost importance on understanding individual patient needs and tailors treatment plans to accommodate their unique concerns and lifestyles. She aims to understand her patient's simple and complex needs at each visit. 

She is excited to join this established group of surgeons and continue building her practice in the South Bay and providing high-quality care for patients both in the clinic as well as assisting in surgeries.
